Multiple customers and subcontractors report deposits taken for solar PV systems, Fox ESS batteries, Solax inverters and EV chargers that were never delivered, and abandoned installs leaving victims thousands of pounds out of pocket. He is not MCS or HIES registered.

Hi, I'm unsure who I'm speaking too, well whom I'm emailing. I have read through all the comments on this page and I cannot believe how many people Connor has scammed, it's disgusting.
Surely the police can prosecute him?

Hi Team,
Just to let you know Connor is now operating on Facebook under the profile Connor Jake. This time targeting buyers on the SolaX as per below.
I was fortunate to get my money back as I insisted on paying on card for my purchase, but he is clearly still at it.
I didn't get a screenshot of his profile before the post was removed!
Thanks,

Thankfully I found this page. Thank you for setting it up to help others avoid being scammed by this guy! Fortunately, I haven't been scammed but almost!
He is advertising an EcoFlow Stream Ultra X for £500, around half the normal price, so it really did seem too good to be true. This was posted yesterday on the ecoflow group on facebook.
His story was that he didn't want a deposit and asked me not to let him down. He gave me an address to collect it from the following day. He then slowly started working on me, saying he'd been messed around by lots of people and asking me not to do the same. Eventually, despite saying he hated taking deposits, he sent me his bank and passport details to persuade me to pay one.
None of it felt right. The bank account wasn't with a bank that offers personal accounts, and sending passport details seemed very strange. I eventually told him where to go and sent him a link to your website.
Facebook name used: Connor Brown
Address and number he provided:
115 Harrow Road, Nottingham, NG2 7DY
Mobile: 07405 713052
His last message was: "Morning, yeah, I'm just not a fan of deposits, but I've wasted so much time waiting on people for them not to show. (And no offence!) but some people appear so genuine like yourself then I waste my day. (Waited in all day Saturday.) for someone actually in our EcoFlow group. Not to show. Will put my details below for a deposit and I shall fingers crossed see you tonight! Have a good day."
I have also attached the passport, bank details, the EcoFlow invoice he used, and an audio recording of the Facebook voice messages he sent.
I block him and report this to fb, then have now removed his profile.
Once again, thank you for the great work you're doing. It's crazy how little this seems to be taken seriously by the authorities, but as you said, the more that gets reported and recorded, the better.
Kind Regards, N___

Been a while, how's the solar doing?
Lovely website dude,
Do you like my cars I got last year from my legitimate business?
Not sure why you're trying to spread lies. Doesn't work.

Hi.
I've just been scammed by this Jake Paterson
Is there any help with this?
Thank you

Hi. I was scammed by this man unfortunately
So silly of me as I thought I did all my checks
He was advertising a Ecoflow stream Ultra X on the Ecoflow stream Facebook group.
Was very convincing with all the reassurances and voice notes.
So frustrating as he sent his passport photo and everything through and voice notes sounded so genuine.
He mentioned posting it and sending a DHL specific tracking etc.

Hi, I've been quite shocked to come across this website, me and my wife had a system installed from Connor back in April of this year, which works great, googled his business to try and find a new number for him as we were looking at getting an additional battery from him and this came up.
Now I'm abit stuck on what to do. I'm confused, are people getting systems that aren't working? Or are they not getting a system at all?
Thanks. D___.

Just to let you know he's posting in the Growatt Facebook group and has scammed users for USB Growatt dongles and APX batteries.
I could tell something was wrong so didn't buy anything (he wanted bank Xfer only — not a chance!)

Thanks for your page. I found an advert on Gumtree last night and Connor actually sent me an image of his passport when I challenged him to send me something to confirm identity.
I googled his name and came across your page which immediately alerted me to be cautious.
When I challenged him his advert disappeared.

I hadn't come across this before, but he's advertising a load of stuff on Gumtree. I was going to buy an EV charger which seemed a bit too cheap to be true, which is why I was a bit wary of purchasing it. I've said to him I'll only pay by credit card, but he seems to have a few problems trying to send me the link to pay, which I thought was a bit suspicious. I did a bit more looking into it and found your website.
Very impressed that you've managed to get one of his websites and use it as you have done, and it certainly helped me out — he kept sending me his bank details.
If there's anything that is useful to you from my experience with him — the conversations on Gumtree and the invoices that he sent from Tap a Talk — please let me know.
Many thanks

I got scammed by this guy, he was selling a powerwall and drove 3 hours to collect after paying him £50 deposit and blocked me…
Bank account checked out, name etc. so seemed legit, but was cheap so was kind of expecting it. What's the plan now?
R___

We paid for battery to be posted and never came. Got on to the bank. Awful. Glad you have built this site.
S___

I fortunately haven't been scammed after seeing your site but have some information, he has a new company CP Renewable Consultants ( www.cprenewableconsultants.co.uk ) in the shop section of his site he is selling solar components such as inverters, batteries and EV chargers and many other items some of which he also advertised on Gumtree. He prefers payment by bank transfer on his website, I was interested in buying some items from him as the prices are (too) unbelievably cheap. Not trusting him said I would only pay by credit card on collection which he agreed and arranged to meet him at his storage unit in Derby he confirmed by text he would be there and even asked me what time I would get there on the day, I waited over 2 hours after the agreed time during which I sent several texts which were ignored, I tried calling and his phone went direct to voicemail, I heard nothing further. The next day I asked a friend to enquire about the same items and he received a very quick reply but this time the parts were located at his storage unit in Bolton but he agreed to take them to Derby and meet my friend ( unknown to him me) there to pay via card on collection, a time was agreed and I went again suspecting he probably wouldn't turn up but he even sent a text the night before confirming our meeting, he was late so I sent a text telling him I (my Friend) was there waiting he instantly replied and said traffic was really bad but he would be there in 2 minutes, half an hour later I sent another text asking him how far away he was, this was ignored along with all other texts, I tried calling but he had turned off his phone.
I just don't understand why anyone would waste peoples time and petrol travelling to buy something he obviously doesn't have I suspect he wanted payment on his CP Renewables website, but when it was obvious that wasn't going to happen why continue the con.

Same chap, same scams ongoing
I ve been caught out by him
Fox ESS HV2600 Solar Batteries | in Bolton, Manchester | Gumtree
Fox ESS EP5-H, EP11 -H Solar Batteries | in Old Street, London | Gumtree
Setup this company now

Hi, I've just seen this page after doing a Google search for CP Renewable Consultants.
Connor Patterson is selling solar equipment like batteries, ev chargers etc. on Facebook Marketplace at really cheap prices. I wasn't sure it was genuine so did a Google search and this came up.
Now not too sure if I want to go ahead with the purchase!!!

Hi,
I was surprised to come across your web page regarding Connor this afternoon. I've bought a battery & solar inverter for our house which I am due to collect next weekend from Bolton. These are for supply only, we are getting someone else to install. We have paid a small deposit with balance when we collect.
Can you please give me an idea of the issues you've encountered? Thank you, S___

Hi He's been trying to get me to send him money to reserve batteries that the prices are very good on. I won't. But had arranged to go to Bolton Sunday to collect batteries. Now he's blocked my profile and all Messages bounce back. How has this kid got away with this. ??? Regards D___ L___

Also possibly him on Facebook, was calling himself Connor Brown then changed his name to Paterson. He was selling cheap(1/2 price) Solax batteries and inverters. Very cagey and not necessarily supplying the correct goods. Definitely a shady character, supposedly living in Halifax but uses different addresses to meet up at there.
Link below to his seller profile.

Here's his profile link.

Phone numbers linked to him:
07780471527 this is possibly a recently added number by him for scamming, but definitely the man from Facebook.
07741 558334 Is a number he's been using for a while by looks of things, definitely the lad from facebook.

I've by this conned by this guy, scumbag and I want to get him charged

You were the only person who got a solar pv system. And it wasn't a scam

"Do not use had Connor Patson take a deposit from us then did a runner. The company do not want do know."
"Connor Patson asked me for a big amount of payment and he went uncontacted afterwards"
Rating only.

"SCAMMED thousand of pounds!!! Not HEIS or MCS registered. A man called Connor reached out to me about solar panels via this company. DO NOT trust!"
hyndburn-solar.uk) and/or Hyndburn Energy were Connor Paterson's previous places of employment — they are separate, legitimate businesses and are not affiliated with the scams described on this page. Connor initially contacted some customers (including the reviewer above) using a connor@hyndburn-solar.uk email while still employed there, but every account of fraudulent activity on this page relates to companies he set up himself afterwards (CJP Solar Energy Ltd, CP Renewable Consultants Ltd, Evita Solar Ltd, 16696628 Ltd, Sunny Solar Ltd, Northern Power G Ltd). Nothing here should be read as a criticism of Hyndburn Solar, Hyndburn Energy, or their owners. The legitimate business can be verified at hyndburnenergy.co.uk or on Companies House (12275509).
The more of us who share information, the harder it gets for him to keep operating under new company names. All correspondence treated confidentially.
scammed@cjpsolar.com →Hi Connor. Yes, this is about you. It exists because customers and subcontractors of yours have been left with incomplete solar PV systems and thousands of pounds in debt. Every detail here is sourced: Companies House, Google reviews, your own voice notes, unsolicited victim emails. Right of reply is open at scammed@cjpsolar.com — you've used it once already (Report 03, published unedited).
This page grows with every new report. Stop the behaviour that brings people here and there's nothing new to add. The internet has a long memory: future employers, business partners, banks and customers will find this page when they search your name — for years. You're the only one who can change what they find.
You're in your 20s, Connor mate — young enough that this is still recoverable. Refund what you owe, even partially, even slowly, and the picture changes — your credit, your career, your name. Every week you don't is another step toward outcomes you can't reverse. Every unpaid customer is a potential County Court Judgement — six years on your credit file, blocking every mortgage, car finance, loan and business account through your twenties and thirties. Repeated fraud is a Fraud Act 2006 matter — up to ten years' imprisonment, with director disqualification of up to 15 years. Phoenix patterns — strike-offs followed by fresh officer IDs — are exactly what HMRC and the Insolvency Service investigate. None of this is hypothetical. It's a decision.
Anyway — how do you like your new website, you rat? If you ever fancy one that doesn't look as shoddy as cprenewableconsultants.co.uk, give us a shout. Happy to sort you out a proper one pal.
